Sclerotherapy Legs

Sclerotherapy is the treatment used to eliminate unsightly veins, small veins referred to as spider veins or capil laries, either facial or on the legs and larger veins being more commonly referred to as varicose veins.

The technique involves injecting a solution directly into the vein.In this procedure, your doctor injects the veins with a solution which causes them to react and collapse. causing the blood to reroute through healthier veins. The vessels are then gradually absorbed by the body and fade from view. Although the same vein may need to be injected more than once, sclerotherapy is usually effective if done correctly
Sclerotherapy doesn't require anesthesia and can be done in your doctor's office. Side effects include swelling, itching and skin color changes in the treated area.

After sclerotherapy, treated veins tend to fade within a few weeks, although occasionally it may take up to a month to see the full results. In some instances, several sclerotherapy treatments may be needed. The treatment is a walk in walk out lunchtime procedure.

The removal of facial capillaries is readily achieved without the need for lasers.
